Keri Hilson’s Beauty Game

Looking at Keri Hilson on the red carpet and in various mags, it’s hard to imagine her struggling with acne but according to my interview with her for Sister 2 Sister magazine, she broke out in adulthood far worse than she ever did in her adolescence. I’m still working on my hating issue and have made a lot of progress but it is so comforting to know that others (especially the very young and beautiful) suffer from the same issues that I deal with. That may sound bad but I don’t mean it the way that it sounds (well I do a little but…).
I love her but yet I hate her at the same time…
Keri’s skin is fabulous, so how did she go from pimply to near perfection? She sought professional help from Celeb Derm Dr. Harold Lancer in Beverly Hills. Keri completely revamped her skin care routine to include regular facials w extractions, oxygen treatments and even microdermabrasion! She faithfully uses Dr. Lancer’s skin care line Dr. Lancer’s Glo2w Skin Care, a milder at-home treatment that mimics his professional treatments.
“I use a great line of products by Dr. Lancer,” she said. “I do the polish—it helps even out the skin tone—and then I use the cleanser. I make sure I moisturize and I put a sunscreen on top of the moisturizer.” Keri Hilson in my interview with her in Sister 2 Sister magazine
I appreciate that fact that Keri knows the importance of using a sunscreen, especially when exfoliating her skin on a regular basis! Now I have to warn you, Keri’s skin care does not come cheap! The four products together come up to about $310 so you may want to save your pennies or find a very mild microdermabrasion kit (by mild I mean very small particles- you don’t want to overdo microdermasion or you may just aggravate your skin and cause even more breakouts) to add to your existing regimen. Exfoliation is important for acne prone skin to keep dead skin cells from getting into the pores and contributing to the problem.
