Clean & Clear Blackhead Eraser
I am feeling really sheepish right now about sharing this story with you because I am a chemist and should know better- I’m so embarrassed. This will just go to show that lack of sleep and tired eyes do not mix with technologically advanced skin care. Ok so I was trying to get my daughter ready for bed and I figured “hey, since she’s in the shower, this is the perfect chance to play with my new Clean & Clear Blackhead Eraser!” (another treasure from my CEW goodie bag.) I pulled it out of the box and briefly skimmed over the instructions- afterall, how difficult could it be, right? So I found the battery in the box with the pads and installed it when I heard the call of the child, “MOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMYYYYY!” I rushed into the bathroom and discovered that she (1) she didnt’ want anything and (2) she hadn’t even started her shower yet even though the water had been running for several minutes. I get her into the shower and in full excitement begin to use the blackhead eraser. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong- yeah, I forgot to put on the pad and proceeded to perform microdermabrasion on myself. The crazy thing is (I do not recommend trying this method to anyone but…) I have to admit my skin felt FABULOUS- anyhoo, I finally realized what I did wrong and put on the pad and continued the process. B. spotters- I am hooked!
Science Behind It:
The Blackhead Eraser is a mild dermabrasion tool that exfoliates the dead skin layer with brute force and chemical appeal. The brute force is, of course, the vibrating action of the applicator and the rough pad while the dirt dissolving capability of salicylic acid (chemical appeal) helps purge your pores of what I term O.D.D.S (oil, dirt, dead skin). The pad is infused with a cationic (positive charged) solution loaded with not only cleansing surfactants but antibacterial ingredients such as benzalkonium chloride to kill bacteria (p. acne is the acne causing bacteria) thus disinfecting your skin and reducing blackheads.
What I like about the blackhead eraser is that the vibrating action is not only removing the dead skin but it’s clearing the way and actually driving the salicylic acid into my pores.
I had to to damage control and quickly used a few anti-inflammatory products before my skin revolted and turned a few different shades of brown (my __th high school reunion is next week so the last thing that I want is to have huge dark spots on my face; I have a rep to protect- I’m serious, no I’m past that- so I try to convince myself:)

I was wondering if this product worked! I get tempted every time that I’m in the skincare aisle. I’ll have to check it out b/c my certain areas of my skin could definitely use this treatment! Thanks

Hi Karyn, I love exfoliation products! This little handheld beauty was a great massage as well- when I finally put the pad on!
