Bio-Restorative Serum with PSP

I recently received a package full of goodies from Neocutis, a bio-pharmaceutical company spun off from the Medical School of the University Hospital of Lausanne, Switzerland.  Since I am in the process of peeling profusing from slightly overdoing a retinol treatment, I was in dire need of something to help control the shedding of large pieces of skin (how’s that for a visual) and to help soothe/heal my skin.  So yes, I tried it.  I should have taken before and after pictures!  The shedding did not stop completely was it was much more tolerable and I no longer looked as if I had a skin disease.  Oh yeah, the name of the product was Bio-Serum: Bio-Restorative Serum with PSP. So what is in this stuff that made it so efficient?  The answer lies in the PSP.

Science Behind It:

PSP stands for Processed Skin Proteins; cultured cells obtained from a cell bank to treat skin conditions.Use of these cells provide a mixture of goodies for your skin including cytokines, growth factors and antioxidants.  Through years of research at the Medical School of the University (do I have to say the whole name?) proved that cultured cells worked miracles in healing wounds without scarring.

Bio-Restorative Serum also contains amino acids that are instrumental in the wound healing process along with other ingredients such as a stable water soluble vitamin C derivative, aminopropyl ascorbyl phosphate and algae extract to improve skin tone, improve your skin’s luminosity and reduce the appearance of age spots.  Of course, no product would be complete without reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles- PSP helps in that area and so does the tripeptide-2!

Fyi, this product can only be purchased in your local dermatologist’s office- you will not find any Neocutis products in the stores!
