Bodyglide has launched a new addition to their family of antichafing products, Footglide Skin Protectant Stick. This caught my attention because I am a sucker for a cute shoe and trust me when I say- my feet pay the price for this obsession. When the PR peeps at Lane (thanks Michelle) sent the press release my way, I had to request a sample!
I haven’t put it it to the test yet but the day is soon approaching. If any B. spotters are curious enough to purchase and try it, you can order it from drugstore.com for $8.79. They say that it’s formulated to prevent blisters, “hot spots” and chafing caused by even the slightest rubbing from any kind of footwear.
The Science Behind It:
Footglide is an OTC skin protectant that falls under the regulation of the FDA. The active ingredient is zinc oxide that will soothe irritation. The anhydrous (no water) formula with the zinc oxide acts as a barrier of protection providing a “cushion” of defense between your shoe and your foot.
